February 15 - The day J&K Assembly unanimously ratified the state's accession to India

Totally forgotten was that on that very day, 52 years earlier, the Jammu & Kashmir Constituent Assembly unanimously ratified the state's accession to India. Thus, February 15, 2006 marked the 52nd Anniversary of the day that witnessed J&K's accession to India being signed, sealed and delivered -- not by a Hindu maharaja ruling over a population of which 77 percent were Muslims, but by a democratically elected constitutional body all of whose 75 members were die-hard followers of a colossal Muslim leader called Sheikh Abdullah.

This truth has to be publisided. I wonder why the Govt of India doesn't say this. I wonder why the politicians shy away from talking and making it straight that Kashmir was, it is and it will be India's eternally. When did Hurriant became the voice of Kashmir? Why are we legitimising them? I wonder when the politicians stop this appeasement and start talking blunt truth.
